You are a hands‑on building operations professional with strong technical maintenance skills and a commitment to high performance. You’re confident working with plumbing, electrical systems, drywall repair, and other core building‑system tasks, and you take pride in maintaining safe, well‑run properties. You enjoy supporting and guiding others, helping team members build their skills, and contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment. You bring sound judgment, reliability, and a focus on quality to everything you do.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
  • 3+ years of maintenance or related experience
  • Flexibility to work on-call on a rotating schedule (evenings & weekends) is required
  • Mentoring abilities
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Handling large volume of work efficiency while supporting other
  • Proficient with use of basic handheld and electrical tools
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.
  • Certification/license from one of the trade professions a definite asset
  • Must be familiar with the community rules and regulations
  • Exposure to multi-residential or other related industry asset class considered an asset
  • WHMIS certified would be an asset
  • Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems would be an asset

WHAT WILL YOU DO

The Senior Building Manager oversees other Building Managers while also performing hands‑on maintenance tasks. They empower performance, provide ongoing training, and ensure compliance with company policies. The role requires strong technical skills—including plumbing, electrical work, drywall repair, and other essential building‑system tasks—and the ability to model these competencies for the team. As a mentor, the Senior Building Manager supports staff development, fosters a positive work environment, and strengthens overall team capability.

Compensation:

This posting is to backfill an existing position within the team.

The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base salary is only one component of Hazelview’s competitive total rewards package. For live-in positions, a unit will also be provided as part of the package.
