
Job Title: Live-in Care Professional (self employed)
Location: Chester & Ellesmere Port(we're especially open to people who live locally, as our clients are in Chester and surrounding area)
Salary: £1,000 per week
Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port are looking for Live in Care Professionals who are passionate about caring for people in their community. Importantly, in this very specialised, but highly rewarding role, you will enable our clients to continue living in their own homes, as an alternative to a residential care home.
As a Live in Care Professional, you will be living with one of our clients for 2 weeks at a time, you may even be supporting a couple in their home and you'll be there to provide excellent care for extended periods of time. You are there to be a companion and to assist your client day to day, but also to help them remain independent in their own home.

Responsibilities may include;
Assisting with administration of medication
Manual handling, using equipment when required
Promoting health and well-being with clients, enabling them to live their life to their full potential

Assisting taking clients to social events
Offering our clients companionship

A great personality and good values are the most important attributes to deliver great care. You will need to be over the age of 18, have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. We are unable to provide sponsorship You must already have the Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The role requires contact with vulnerable clients and will be subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.

Dr Hannah MacKechnie worked at Radfield Residential care home for many years before training as a doctor at Birmingham University. After qualifying she worked in many hospitals across the West Midlands and in Christchurch, New Zealand and on returning to the UK completed her GP training. It was whilst working as a GP that she realised there was a need for a local home care company that put quality at the heart of its business.
Alex Green has also been closely associated with Radfield Residential Home and has a career background in finance having worked for companies such as HSBC and Halifax. In recent years he has been working for several charitable organisations around the country before settling back to Shropshire and becoming involved in the family business. Alex gained his Registered Managers Award qualification in 2008.
