Athletic Communications Department:
Operating proactively and collaboratively as part of Lafayette College’s Communications Division, the Athletic Communications Department serves to publicize and promote Lafayette through the College’s 23 NCAA Division I sports. Utilizing strategic public relations, marketing and communications efforts, Lafayette’s outstanding student-athletes are showcased for their incredible balance of athletic endeavors and academic pursuits.
Responsibilities:
-Reporting directly to the Video Production Manager and the Video Production Assistant
-Direct live broadcasts for ESPN+/Lafayette Sports Network
-Manage a team of freelancers
-Set up and breakdown equipment for broadcasts
-Assist in continuing to curate a brand for Lafayette Athletics
oIncreasing non-gameday content to promote Lafayette’s mission and core values
Qualifications:
-Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut X
-Experience in Live Sport Productions
oExperience with NewTek Products (Tricaster, 3 PLAY, NC I/O), and SimplyLive preferred but not required
-Background/experience in post-production
-Passion for college athletics
-Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
-Knowledge of JVC Pro cameras, and filming live events
-Preferred Knowledge of Canon cameras
-Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
Part-time position, Hours will vary by week and sports schedule. Single rate per game worked.
