Job Title: Litigation Legal Secretary/Paralegal
A national Top Tier Law Firm, seeks a full-time litigation legal secretary/paralegal for its Los Angeles office. The legal secretary/paralegal will provide direct support to attorneys, performing tasks that include preparing correspondence, managing the conflicts check process for new matters, scheduling depositions, assisting with preparing pleadings and discovery in federal and state civil matters and arbitration proceedings; analyzing, reviewing and organizing privileged documents and data from materials produced during discovery; coordinating client meetings, maintaining case files, and e-filing court documents, both on the state and federal levels. The secretary/paralegal works closely with the attorneys’ assigned billing specialist. This is an onsite position.
The ideal candidate must ideally have a college degree, and three solid years of litigation experience, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, strong writing/grammar skills, keen attention to details, ability to multi-task and work within deadlines, and accurate typing of 65+ wpm. They must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, STRONG Excel knowledge, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Qualified candidates must be able to work in a team environment, as well as adapt to changes in workload and job responsibilities.
