
Litigation Executive / Solicitor / Legal Executive
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire

A leading regional law firm with offices across Lincolnshire and the Midlands is seeking a confident, proactive, and structured Litigation professional to join its Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Department. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters while contributing to the growth and development of the department.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters, with responsibilities including:
Handling a range of civil litigation work
Generating new work and converting quotations
Promoting the firms reputation and contributing to business development initiatives in line with the departments Marketing Policy
Key Responsibilities
Provide ongoing service to existing clients while generating new work
Develop and enhance the Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Department, maximising cross-referrals across offices and practice areas
Produce fee income in line with targets and agreed objectives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and practice
Maintain and enhance professional legal skills
Manage financial control, including billing and cash flow on client matters
Maintain accurate records of time spent on client and internal work
Perform fee-earning work accurately and reliably, in accordance with the firms quality and risk procedures
Person Specification
Essential
Experienced Litigation Executive, Legal Executive, or Solicitor
Previous experience managing a busy caseload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Professional, positive, and flexible approach
Desirable
Experience of SOS Connect or other case management systems
Previous experience with CIPHR or other HR systems
