The Albany office focuses on complex and diverse public policy issues in a range of areas including health care, environmental and energy law, economic development, government procurement. gaming and insurance. The litigation practice often represents clients in high profile public policy matters that includes frequent interaction with government agencies. The office also has a nationally recognized First Amendment practice.
Applicants should have 2-5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, writing skills and organizational abilities. Preferred candidates will have experience analyzing legal issues, drafting briefs, summarizing factual situations, and pursuing discovery, as well as assisting with and/or taking and defending depositions, and appearing before state and federal courts.
Candidates must be in good standing with the NY Bar. Federal clerkship a plus.

The expected pay range for this position is:
$142,500 - $172,500.
Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
