Liquid Finance Platform covers a variety of roles and is central to the delivery of best-in-class products and services, and for the provision of strategic client and risk solutions across the full spectrum of the Prime Financing businesses.

Join us at Barclays as a Liquid Financing Cross Margining Solutions AVP. In role your main areas of responsibility will include Risk and Margin & Infrastructure management alongside contribution to the overall client management of our portfolio.
Global Markets Liquid Financing at Barclays provides a full service and fully integrated Prime Brokerage offering to hedge fund clients and asset managers seeking to take advantage of our margin financing, stock lending, clearing and client service solutions across multiple asset classes. The clients of Barclays Liquid Financing are both well-established hedge fund managers and asset managers as well as start-ups (typically spin-offs) and are some of the most sophisticated and consequently most demanding clients of Barclays. The Liquid Financing business consists of Equity Financing, Prime Derivatives Services and Fixed Income Financing. The teams are based in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong & Singapore.
To be successful as a Cross Margining Solutions AVP, you should have:
Experience in the finance and technology industry at either a buy-side or sell-side firm, or exchange in the margin, risk management, technology, treasury or collateral management space
Ample product knowledge across asset classes
Good technical aptitude, with the ability to design, build and enhance IT stack
Knowledge of derivatives products and services including the risks associated with them and related operational aspects
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Familiarity of risking principles and methodologies with respect to multi-asset portfolios
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about documentation relating to cash and synthetic prime brokerage including but not limited to: prime brokerage agreements, committed margin agreements, netting agreements, International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Master Agreements, repo master agreements, equity master confirmation agreements
Solid understanding of scarce resources, and all aspects of risk management
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills
You will be based out of our Canary Wharf, London office.
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks
