Linux Systems Engineer

Hard skills:

  • You have experience and knowledge on the following technologies:

Linux:

  • Min. 2 years hands-on experience in managing Linux systems
  • Linux systems administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery);
  • Linux services: web servers (ex: nginx / apache), DNS, Mail, IPTables, PHP, SQL.

Infrastructure:

  • Basic servers instalation and configuration.

Knowledge about: Monitoring and logging tools:

  • Nagios, Zabbix
  • ElasticSearch, Graphana, Prometheus, etc.

Education

  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in technology or related field;

Would be a plus:

  • Experience in implementing and managing virtual machines using VMware.
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Experience in an entreprenurial work environment.

As a Linux Systems Engineer you have the following responsabilities that relate to the delivery of quality IT services on time

  • Perform system administration activities, such as deployments, configuration, system monitoring, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting;
  • Perform proactive maintenance activities to prevent incidents.
  • Assist with Helpdesk functions as needed, such as responding to tickets, managing:
  • Linux servers;
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot our internal and clients technology assets.
