Linux System Engineer

TeleTrader d.o.o. is a software company specialized in stock market data and financial analysis, offering a broad portfolio of tools for the processing, visualization and analysis of stock market data. As a global company, active on the international market and headquartered in Vienna, Austria, TeleTrader develops its software in Belgrade, while selling its products globally across Europe, North America, and Asia.

TeleTrader is announcing the following vacancy within its IT department:

Linux System Engineer

Main tasks:

• Design and implement infrastructure and deployment solutions in a Linux environment (Debian, Ubuntu)
• Troubleshooting issues in Dev/Test/Production environments
• Working closely with Development teams to implement and automate systems and architectures
• Configuration of web servers and load balancers
• Install and manage software and services to meet application requirements
• Research new technologies that will improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitoring tools configuration (Nagios, CheckMK, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Using configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack) to automate the deployment and configure systems
• Configuration of Mail Transfer Agents (MTA) or spam scanners (Postfix, Exim, eFA)

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Linux Systems Engineering/Architecture experience
• Experience with web servers (Nginx or Apache) and load balancers (e.g. HAproxy)
• Experience with tools like Redis and ELK stack
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls)
• Familiar with configuration storage systems (NetApp, Ceph, TrueNAS)
• Familiar with virtualization technologies (e.g. KVM, Proxmox, and VMware)
• Knowledge of database concepts and how to manage databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Basics of Git

Following are optional but high valued requirements:

• Experience with Kubernetes on premise and Docker
• Experience with ArgoCD
• Experience with Service Mesh
