About the role...

As a Lining Engineer (Skilled Operative) - Clean, you will play a key role in delivering specialist trenchless rehabilitation projects that restore and extend the life of critical infrastructure assets. Working within our Technical & Innovation team, you will lead the installation of CIPP lining systems and complex repair solutions, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role supports the delivery of specialist CIPP lining solutions for lead service pipes within clean water networks. Whilst clean water experience is preferred, candidates with drainage, trenchless rehabilitation or utility infrastructure experience will also be considered.

  • Deliver CIPP lining installations, patch repairs and trenchless rehabilitation works
  • Lead installation activities and support operational teams on site
  • Monitor preparation, curing, reinstatement and quality assurance processes
  • Carry out post-installation CCTV inspections and reporting
  • Interpret CCTV survey data and verify asset integrity
  • Provide technical guidance on the use of specialist lining equipment and materials
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and confined space requirements
  • Inspect and validate equipment, resin systems and curing equipment before use
  • Complete installation records, curing logs, CCTV assessments and project documentation
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during project delivery
  • Mentor junior team members and share technical expertise
  • Support continuous improvement of lining techniques, equipment and processes

About you...

We're looking for an experienced lining professional with a strong technical background in trenchless rehabilitation, drainage or utility infrastructure projects.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in drainage patching and lining
  • Experience with CIPP/CIPR lining and rehabilitation techniques
  • Knowledge of UV, Steam, Hot Cure or LED Cure technologies
  • Strong understanding of lining equipment, resin systems and trenchless repair tools
  • Experience using CCTV drainage inspection equipment
  • Ability to interpret CCTV survey data and produce technical reports
  • Experience providing technical guidance and support on site
  • Knowledge of confined space procedures and safe resin handling practices
  • Experience completing installation logs, curing records and quality documentation
  • CSCS and/or EUSR accreditation
  • Confined Space certification
  • SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
  • Relevant lining installation qualifications desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clean water experience desirable but not essential
