Responsible for daily delivery and pick-up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility. Perform physical inventory of Linen using hand-held device. Neatly placing clean linen back onto carts/shelves. Deliveries/pick-ups must be completed according to established timetables/8-hour shift. Responsible for responding to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted. Must access the needs of the customer and provide only the quantities needed to allow operation until the next scheduled delivery for the unit. Responsible for keeping Spectralink (or other hospital provided phone/equipment) phone on, and in operation. Knowledgeable of all areas served. Interacts with customers to ensure linen is delivered in appropriate time frame and quantity is accurate. Accurately counts all remaining linen in exchange carts that are being returned to the clean Linen room after retrieval from units. Recording data (item counts) in hand-held device so it may be entered into Control-Tex Inventory system. Coordinates with staff and drivers the proper staging of carts being delivered. Ensuring appropriate carts are returned to Laundry as well as delivered to the facility. Maintain cleanliness of clean Linen Storeroom. Consolidate partially full carts, and remove all empty carts, and place in hall.
The Linen Tech Position reports directly to the Environmental Services Director/Manager or Laundry Director/Manager depending on facility.

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma General-Preferred or GED General-Preferred
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience: Previous linen delivery, and inventory experience Preferred and Computer experience Preferred and
Control-Tex software experience Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Computer/data entry experience.
Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.
Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge.
Epic and 3M experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must understand verbal and written instructions.
Must be organized and attentive to detail.
Able to work quickly and efficiently.
Must be able to count and understand instructions given by supervisory staff.
