You’ll serve as a Linen Distributor responsible for ordering, receiving, distributing and delivering supplies across UCLA Health facilities. This includes linen, equipment and general supplies needed to support patient care units, clinics, procedural areas and radiology.
You’ll stock and organize inventory rooms, maintain accurate documentation, complete physical inventory counts and ensure timely, reliable delivery. In procedural and distribution areas, you’ll work closely with clinical staff to understand supply needs, set up or adjust products in the supply management system, and place replenishment orders through handhelds or third-party software.
The role also involves reconciling packing slips, adjusting PAR levels based on demand and identifying opportunities to reduce inventory costs. You must be able to lift and transport supplies up to 50 pounds and push or pull linen carts up to 400 pounds.
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Able to communicate clearly, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Works well in a team, brings a positive attitude and is willing to share ideas for improving workflow.
Detail oriented and comfortable entering data on handheld devices or computers.
Able to perform basic math calculations.
Reliable and able to follow deadlines and protocols with minimal supervision.
Able to push and pull heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds.
Able to lift, carry and transport supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Experience with inventory management in a hospital or clinic, and electronic ordering using a handheld, is preferred.
