Job Description

Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications. Record assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned. Inspect uniforms for damage and remove substandard uniforms from circulation and issue replacements. Complete inventory of uniforms and linens as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Issue and receive uniforms in accordance with hotel procedures
  2. Reports any damage or discrepancies with linen or uniform to senior housekeeper and ensure proper accountability of all uniform items
  3. Inspects uniforms for damages and ensures they are in presentable condition prior to issuance to associates
  4. Remove unrepairable uniform from circulation and inform senior housekeeper
  5. Conduct inventory count, report discrepancies, control loss, and damages
  6. Provides shoe polishing service upon request
  7. Assists seamstress in repair of linen and uniform.
  8. Attends to guests for loan items or repairs to clothing.
  9. Receives and issues uniforms and towels for hotel associates, and ensure transactions are recorded in logbook.
  10. Ensures house linen is folded, packed and delivered to floor pantries.
  11. Fits and size uniforms for new associates as requested by Human Resources.
  12. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum GCE 'O' or ‘N’ levels
  • Able to multitask
  • Previous experience in uniform room preferred
  • Basic knowledge of garment care and familiarity with inventory system
