Line Quality Engineer

Position Title: Line Quality Engineer

Department: Quality

Location: Pune

Reports To: Line Supervisor / Quality Engineer

The Line Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the production process by conducting inspections, monitoring process parameters, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process quality inspections on production lines to ensure products meet defined specifications.
  • Monitor critical process parameters and report any deviations immediately.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
  • Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming products.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Maintain and update quality records, check sheets, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality-related concerns in real time.
  • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing or quality inspection (freshers may be considered)
  • Basic knowledge of quality tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with inspection instruments and measurement systems
  • Understanding of IATF16949 requirements is an advantage
