Job Description

Our Kingsville Distribution Center, a 150,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Full Time Production Administrator to join our team. The essential function of this position is to lead a production line to attain the goals set forth for the shift.

Shifts 10:30pm-6am Monday to Saturday

Wage: $18.65/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

• • Ensure production quality meets customer spec, focusing on quality of product, case and pallet labels.
  • Execute the administrative responsibilities associated with production orders.
  • Input and output product in NAV.
  • Print labels using the customer spec and the Label View Software.
  • Ensure correct country of original on all labels (PLU, Clam, box) and pallet tags.
  • Enforce company policies (no disciplinary action).
  • Communicate with hi-lo driver.
  • Ensure line is running efficiently.
  • Assign workers to line positions as per play sheet, rotate workers throughout shift.
  • Make sure workers are performing duties according to play sheet.
  • Drive workers to eliminate downtime.
  • Help motivate the line to reach reasonable expectations.
  • Perform changeover procedure.
  • Monitor agency personnel issues.
  • Minimize product grade-out while meeting specs.
  • Maximize what is graded out for highest resale value.
  • Work on line – only to temporarily cover position if required.

Education/Background Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Computer proficiency required with data entry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally,
  present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50 degrees
  Fahrenheit. The background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
