Job Description

The Line Lead coordinates all projects and related support activities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Understands the quality specification for each product being handled and trains workforce to meet and/or exceed those expectations. Ensure compliance to policies, procedures, processes, equipment (SOP's) and recommends improvement to direct supervision. In support of cost control efforts, this role helps and resolves operation issues as well as management of support staff.

Oversee assembly production line of 4–25 line associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the production supervisor.
  • Supervise and assist with labeling and casing or packing of materials or products.
  • Train new workforce and provide coaching to production associates.
  • Maintain all appropriate paperwork and reporting.
  • Communicate with site Management to continually address any production issues, discuss production line improvements, handle labor issues, and correct packing and machine problems.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are understood by assigned team with full compliance.
  • Maintain production line efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure all associates are following safety guidelines and are in compliance with proper Personnel Protective Equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Compensation: $20/hour

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing/ production environment managing or directing team activities or the direct supervision of people.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Training skills to train basic line tasks and train new personnel for the Line Lead position.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and write English to ensure proper interpretation of customer specifications and requirements.
