  • Prepare and execute menu items to La Plume’s culinary standards with consistency, precision, and care.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workstation during service, ensuring readiness for lunch, dinner, and special events.
  • Follow established recipes, portioning, and plating standards to ensure quality and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support smooth and timely service.
  • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
  • Assist with daily mise en place, prep, and station set-up and breakdown.
  • Monitor product quality and freshness, minimizing waste through proper storage and rotation.
  • Support senior cooks and chefs with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, professional restaurant environment.
  • Culinary diploma or formal training is an asset.
  • Strong foundational cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to take direction, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain composure during busy service periods.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to learning and growth.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the job — including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Hour Rate: 18.50- $19.50 + gratuities
