Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications for both Max’s Tavern and Max’s Swing Lounge
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
• Follow recipes, plating standards, and prep instructions to ensure consistency and quality
• Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, butchering, and sauce preparation
• Rotate and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and minimize waste
• Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and fellow cooks to ensure smooth service across both venues
• Ensure that kitchen equipment and stations are in good working order
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For

Experience

• Proven experience as a Line Cook (2–3 years strongly preferred)
• Prior experience in an upscale casual or fine-dining kitchen environment is a plus
• Experience working all stations including grill, sauté, and pantry
• Familiarity with high-volume, scratch kitchens and fast-paced service

• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
• Ability to follow recipes, plating standards, and prep instructions with precision
• Ability to stay organized and work effectively under pressure
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• A team player who collaborates well with others
