A Brief OverviewThe Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency. What You Will DoMedicated aerosol deliveryAirway clearance therapyPatient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)Oxygen and humidity therapySpecial procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups) Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
