NV5 is seeking a Lighting Design Consultant to join our lighting design practice. This role supports the planning and design of performance, education, civic, hospitality, and entertainment facilities and is part of a close‑knit team of highly qualified lighting designers. Our team is collaborative, technically curious, and deeply focused on delivering best‑in‑class solutions through thoughtful design, advanced analysis tools, and clear, responsive client communication.
The Lighting Design Consultant will contribute to multiple concurrent projects, preparing reports and specifications, developing drawings, validating designs through illuminance modeling software, and conducting on‑site lighting measurements as needed. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of delivering accurate, high‑quality work in a dynamic consulting environment.
This is a work‑from‑home position, and candidates are welcome to apply from major cities beyond those specifically listed.
All candidates must be driven to satisfy the needs of end users and have the ability to deliver high caliber results in a timely manner while operating without direct supervision. Some overnight travel may be required. On occasion, it may be necessary to participate in off-hours luminaire aiming and testing, as needed to support our design services.
