Light Duty Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Machine Operator to operate tea bag production machinery as part of a two-person team. The operator will work closely with a partner to keep the machine running efficiently, maintain product quality, and meet daily production goals.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, works well with others, and can maintain a steady pace in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tea bag production machines safely and efficiently with a partner
• Work as part of a two-person team to monitor and maintain machine operation
• Load and replenish materials as needed during production
• Monitor machines for proper operation and make basic adjustments when necessary
• Inspect tea bags and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects
• Maintain consistent production standards and meet daily production goals
• Communicate with your partner and supervisor regarding machine performance, materials, and production issues
• Identify and report equipment problems or quality concerns promptly
• Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe
• Perform routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance as required
• Follow production procedures, work instructions, and food safety requirements
• Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Perform other production duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation preferred
• Experience operating production machinery is a plus
• Ability to work effectively with a partner and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Willingness to learn machine operation and production procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the work shift
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to work around production machinery safely
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or order pickers preferred
• Must follow OSHA and all workplace safety guidelines at all times
