Job Title: Lifting Appointed Person (AP) – Construction
Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract: 1 Year (Extendable)
Educational / Certification Requirement:
LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Appointed Person Certification – Mandatory
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in lifting operations within the construction industry
Proven experience in planning, supervising, and executing lifting operations safely
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and supervise all lifting operations on construction sites in accordance with project requirements and safety standards
Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for lifting activities
Inspect lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
Provide technical guidance to crane operators, riggers, and other lifting personnel
Maintain lifting equipment logs and inspection records
Ensure compliance with Qatars safety regulations and company HSE policies
Investigate lifting incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
Liaise with project management, HSE, and other relevant teams regarding lifting operations
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and safety regulations
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lifting plans
Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Language:
English – Fluent (both written and spoken)
