Lift Truck Operator

  • Kearneysville, WV 25430
  • Schedule: 6AM – 6PM (2-2-3 schedule)
  • Pay: $21/hour

About the Role:

As a member of the operations team, you will become an integral part of the ROCKWOOL supply chain that provides day to day management of finished goods, housing of inventory and on-time shipment of products. You will support operations to meet the needs of our customers, ensuring products are aesthetically packaged to specifications and to our high-quality standards. You will receive training on equipment, such as forklifts, to complete your work and be educated on all safety procedures to ensure you are working in a safe manner.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years' experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, or pallet jack required.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment working with automated equipment.
  • Previous SAP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated or proven:
  • Organizational and analytical skills;
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills;
  • Acute attention to detail;
  • Written and verbal communication skills;
  • Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills;
  • Accuracy and data integrity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a sit down forklift and pallet jack.
  • Maintain a smooth uninterrupted flow of product by restocking pallets, film, shrink, and strapping for the cold end manufacturing area.
  • Facilitate the recycling of product by delivering to waste house and granulating area.
  • Make corrections to product that needs to be re-worked by consolidating pallets and moving product to correct staging areas.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work area to support Machine Technicians, including assisting Machine Technicians and General Operators with cleaning manufacturing equipment, cleaning the film storage area, and assisting with the recycling of products.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 12 hours
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work around moving equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments
