Job Description


LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR

Jefferson, OH


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain oil level, transmission fluid level, hydraulic fluid level, brake fluid and engine coolant level of lift truck
  • Report any malfunctions of truck to supervisor
  • Comply with all safety requirements - fill out all required forms
  • Store in a safe and orderly fashion all forgings leaving the forge area
  • Tag all containers leaving the forge area with proper identification
  • Supply forge crews with steel and hot boxes as needed
  • Remove all slugs, flashing s, etc. from forging operation and dispose if properly
  • Keep lift trucks inspected and Forge area clean and neat
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Knowledge of tagging procedures
  • Ability to lift a min of 50 pounds safely and correctly
  • Understanding of the importance of segregation steel grades, sizes and heat codes
  • Availability to work all shifts

Starting pay rate: $22.76 hour
