SUMMARY

The Lift Operator will perform any and all activities as assigned by the Lift Operations Manager or Supervisor. This position will report to Lift Operations Manager and Supervisor. They will operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently while providing guests with courteous and friendly service. This person will achieve and maintain the highest standards; requires dedication to the Team in a very challenging environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Load and unload guests safely.
• Oversee day to day operations of employees and lifts.
• Employee will essentially be a mobile lift operator-extensive skiing and/or snowboarding involved.
• Operate lifts safely and service oriented.
• Ensuring Safety Requirements are met for Guest’s and Staff.
• Understanding of operating policies, maze setups and lift operator responsibilities.
• Requiring the highest Guest Service Standards each and every day.
• Thorough knowledge of lift opening and closing procedures.
• Notify Manager immediately of any unsafe, unusual, abnormal situations or incidents.
• Continually remain aware of the mechanical lift and the guest.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, and fellow employees.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to multi task
• Guest Service experience
• Outstanding safety knowledge and experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate skiing or riding ability

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Requires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort’s insurance carrier. Apprentice Level in any one trade would be preferred. Understanding of lock-out/tag-out procedures

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Please be advised that the location of this position is in the mountains. Inclement weather can and will be encountered on a regular basis, especially throughout the winter. Reliable transportation to and from work is a necessity. Access to a 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended.
