Lift Commissioning Engineer & Team Leader (New Installations & Modernisations)

Your main responsibilities

Lead the commissioning of major lift and escalator projects across Christchurch while mentoring a high-performing installation team. We are looking for a Lift Fitter Commissioning Engineer / Team Leader. This is a permanent, full-time position, you’ll be joining our New Installations and Modernisation team in Christchurch.

You will be responsible for the full installation phase of all New Installations/ Modernisations (Lift, Escalators and Dumbwaiters) as well as the commissioning and acceptance testing of lifts & escalators across our customer sites.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Ensuring that the Quality assurance, process, technical aspects of the Customer's specification and local codes and regulations requirements for new installations/ Modernisations are met.

  • Completing quality checks & reporting non-conformances

  • Ensuring work sites are kept tidy and that all paperwork is up to date

  • Oversee work from our subcontractors' teams

What you bring

  • Either a minimum experience of 3 years’ experience as a Lift Fitter Commissioning Engineer or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 (Trade Certificate or Diploma) in the Mechanical or Electrical area.
  • EWRB Electrical Installer or Electrician Registered or Limited Certificate or Provisional License.
  • Full and clean NZ driver’s license
  • Dedicated in working safely with a high focus on quality.
  • A practical thinker and enjoys technical challenges.
  • Highly accountable
  • Work with flexibility and accountable with their actions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and rapidly problem solve.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drives collaboration and teamwork
