As a Casual  LifestyleOfficeryou’llbe part of an experienced,engagedand dedicated team helping to create a welcoming,professionaland supportive care experience for the residents of SVCS Heathcote.You will actively contribute to the delivery of engaging lifestyle opportunities aimed at meeting the diverse social, recreational, cultural, and spiritual needs of our residents.

St Vincent's Care Services Heathcote (locally known as John Paul Village) is a213 bedfacility located 35km from Sydney's CBD. It is situated next to the Royal National Park, one of Sydney's real treasures!

Things that work for us:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy (or similar)

  • ExperienceworkinginLeisure & Lifestyle inan aged care facility

  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with the pastoral care, care & clinical, and food services teams to create and implement meaningful engagement activities.

  • Acommitment to person-centred care,demonstratinga deep understanding and passion for enhancing residents' well-being.

  • Ability toleverageyour experience in working with individuals living with dementia to bring valuable insights to our care approach.

  • Capacity to infuse energy and enthusiasm into your role, fostering an environment that enables residents to activelyparticipatein and enjoy meaningful activities.

  • Strong attention to detail,excellent communicationskillsand ability to follow directives as per care plan

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within 6 months).

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement of this role.

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
