  • Villa Maria Eastern Heights
  • Permanent Full-time - 38 hours per week
  • Monday 7.30am - 4pm & Tuesday - Friday 8am - 4pm
  • Pay rate – $39.90 per hour + superannuation
  • Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax!

As a member of the Leadership team at Villa Maria Eastern Heights, you will be developing, planning and implementing lifestyle activities and programs, ensuring residents have choice in maintaining their social, psychological, recreational cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

About the Role

  • Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Conducting resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each residents preference and needs
  • Planning and implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends
  • Acting as team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • A kind heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong coaching/training skills
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Great IT skills – this will be tested
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
