Create meaningful experiences. Build genuine connections. Make every day memorable.
At The Helier by Oceania, we're redefining retirement living through exceptional service, premium hospitality, and personalised experiences. Nestled in the heart of St Heliers, The Helier offers luxury retirement living where every detail is designed to help residents live well.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, creating engaging activities, meaningful connections, and memorable experiences for our residents.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, thinking creatively, and bringing energy and positivity to every day.
This is a part-time position working 16 hours across Saturdays and Sundays, with the opportunity to work an additional 8-hour weekday shift when available.
About the role
As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you'll deliver a varied programme of activities and outings that support residents' wellbeing, independence, and sense of community. From facilitating group activities and one-on-one engagement to coordinating events and accompanying residents on local outings, no two days are the same.
A key part of this role involves driving our resident van for outings and safely securing wheelchairs, so you'll need to be confident driving a larger vehicle and comfortable with the physical aspects of assisting residents.
You'll be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging activities and experiences using the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework.
Getting to know residents and tailoring activities to their interests, abilities, and preferences.
Coordinating social events, celebrations, outings, and wellbeing programmes.
Driving residents safely to community outings and appointments when required.
Safely securing wheelchairs and mobility equipment in the resident van.
Working closely with the wider village team to create exceptional resident experiences.
Building warm, genuine relationships with residents and their families.
Maintaining a safe environment by following health and safety procedures.
What you'll bring
Experience coordinating activities, events, hospitality experiences, recreation programmes, or similar.
A genuine passion for enriching the lives of older people.
Confidence driving a larger vehicle and holding a Full New Zealand Driver Licence
Good physical fitness, including the ability to safely assist with securing wheelchairs and mobility equipment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisation skills with the ability to plan engaging activities.
A positive attitude, creativity, and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
Why join Oceania?
