About the opportunity

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to join our residential aged care facility in Ballarat. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents through the design and delivery of engaging lifestyle programs.

  • Develop, plan, and deliver a diverse range of lifestyle programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to create personalised programs that cater to individual preferences.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the success of lifestyle programs, making improvements to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to integrate lifestyle activities with residents' care plans.
  • Oversee the scheduling and organisation of events, ensuring all activities are well-structured and properly resourced.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive community atmosphere, encouraging active participation from residents.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, attendance, and feedback, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Coordinate and support the Volunteer Program to enhance resident experiences

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Prior experience working in similar roles in the Aged Care Sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine love for working with people.
  • Creativity in planning diverse and inclusive activities.
  • Ability to adapt programs for residents with physical or cognitive limitations.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Good administrative and computer skills.
  • A passion for event planning, social activities, or community work.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • NDIS clearance
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (CHC43415) or equivalent essential
  • First Aid and CPR certification essential
