About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About the Position:

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Lifeguard Supervisor – Pool Services to join the resort’s Pool Services team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Supervise the daily performance, positioning, and readiness of Senior Lifeguards and Lifeguards across assigned aquatic areas.
  • Assign daily lifeguard zones, posts, rotations, breaks, relief coverage, and operational responsibilities based on business levels and safety requirements.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings covering safety priorities, weather conditions, VIP activity, events, staffing updates, equipment concerns, and operational risks.
  • Monitor Lifeguard and Senior Lifeguard performance, attentiveness, professionalism, grooming, guest interaction, and compliance with departmental standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Lifeguards and Senior Lifeguards through observation, feedback, skills reinforcement, and service guidance.
  • Support onboarding, training, drills, rescue readiness checks, certification tracking, and continuous development of the lifeguard team.
  • Escalate serious incidents, performance issues, staffing gaps, certification concerns, and operational risks to the Aquatics Manager.
  • Lead by example through strong floor presence, calm decision-making, disciplined safety leadership, and luxury guest service behaviour.
  • Ensure all assigned pool, beach, water feature, and aquatic zones are properly covered and actively supervised.
  • Verify that lifeguard positioning, sightlines, rotations, scanning discipline, and rescue readiness are maintained throughout the shift.
  • Lead or support emergency response during aquatic rescues, medical incidents, severe weather, guest distress, or safety-related situations.
  • Ensure proper use and readiness of rescue equipment, first aid equipment, AEDs, communication devices, station supplies, and emergency access routes.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of aquatic zones, decks, beaches, water features, signage, equipment, and guest circulation areas.
  • Support and document drills, skills checks, safety audits, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Ensure incidents are properly reported, documented, escalated, and followed up in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure the lifeguard team maintains a visible, approachable, professional, and reassuring presence across all aquatic areas.
  • Support professional rule enforcement through respectful communication and guest-focused language.
  • Assist with elevated guest concerns, safety-related conversations, service recovery, and emergency follow-up when required.
  • Ensure Lifeguards provide accurate information regarding pool and beach rules, facility use, safety requirements, and guest services.
  • Partner with Pool Services, Food & Beverage, Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, Recreation, and Resort Services to resolve guest and operational needs.
  • Support VIP arrivals, special events, guest activations, high-volume periods, and operational changes while maintaining safety coverage.
  • Coordinate daily opening, operating, and closing procedures for lifeguard stations, safety equipment, aquatic zones, and guest safety areas.
  • Monitor staffing levels, coverage gaps, relief needs, break schedules, and shift readiness throughout the day.
  • Communicate maintenance, water quality, cleanliness, equipment, signage, weather, and operational concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Support operational readiness for special events, weather changes, high guest volumes, and unusual aquatic activity.
  • Ensure lifeguard stations and safety areas remain clean, organized, equipped, and audit-ready.
  • Support departmental planning related to coverage models, zone allocation, roster needs, and operational improvements.
  • Review and ensure completion of incident reports, rescue reports, first aid records, inspection checklists, equipment logs, training records, water safety logs, and daily operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of team observations, training participation, certification status, attendance notes, and shift handover information.
  • Support scheduling input, payroll observations, roster communication, and daily manpower allocation as required.
  • Prepare clear handover notes and communicate important operational updates to the Aquatics Manager and relevant leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information, colleague information, incident details, and company records.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Pool Services Supervisor and Head Hostess as parallel supervisory partners within the Pool Services operation.
  • Work collaboratively with Pool Attendants, Hostesses, Cabana Receptionists, Food & Beverage, Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, and resort teams.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, briefings, training programs, Forbes preparation, and development initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, ownership, guest focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure communication between reception-based colleagues and floor-based colleagues is clear, timely, and accurate.
  • Support colleagues during peak periods and operational challenges.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and service excellence within the team.
  • Communicate operational updates, guest feedback, team observations, and service opportunities to leadership.
  • Contribute to a disciplined, safety-focused, and service-oriented team culture.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid lifeguard certification required.
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required.
  • Open-water, beach lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, pool operator, or additional aquatic safety certification preferred where applicable.
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of lifeguard experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, lead lifeguard, aquatics, waterpark, resort, beach club, or high-volume aquatic operation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lifeguard surveillance, rescue techniques, first aid, CPR, AED, emergency action plans, and incident command expectations.
  • Ability to coordinate lifeguard zones, rotations, relief coverage, drills, inspections, and emergency response activities.
  • Ability to read and maintain operational documentation, reports, logs, checklists, and certification records accurately.
  • Working knowledge of radios, communication systems, rescue equipment, first aid equipment, AEDs, and aquatic safety tools.
  • Familiarity with luxury hospitality, Forbes Five-Star, or similar service standards preferred.
  • Consistently deliver service in accordance with Forbes Five-Star standards.
  • Demonstrate professional, calm, confident, and approachable behaviour in every guest interaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs before requests are made whenever possible.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and reassuring environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Respond promptly, respectfully, and effectively to guest requests, questions, and concerns.
  • Maintain exceptional grooming, presentation, posture, and professional conduct standards.

  • Follow pool, beach, water features, and resort safety protocols at all times.
  • Use rescue equipment, first aid equipment, communication devices, and operational tools safely and responsibly.
  • Support compliance with health, hygiene, sanitation, and public area cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain clear access to lifeguard stations, rescue equipment, walkways, and emergency routes.
  • Support compliance with all applicable local regulations, certification requirements, and company policies.
