Responsible for ensuring the safe operation, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the swimming pool and surrounding areas at Camp Cook. Monitors pool activities, enforces safety rules, maintains accountability of pool equipment and supplies, and responds to emergencies as required. Monitors swimming pool activities to ensure safe operation of the facility. Enforces pool rules and safety regulations for all patrons utilizing the pool and surrounding areas. Responds to emergencies and hazardous situations as required. Administers lifesaving measures, CPR, AED, and first aid within the scope of certification and training. Ensures swimming pool, pool deck, adjoining areas, and assigned equipment remain clean, safe, and serviceable. Reports unsafe conditions or maintenance issues to supervision. Maintains accountability of pool equipment, safety devices, and assigned supplies. Conducts routine inspections of safety equipment to ensure operational readiness. Checks identification cards, signs patrons in and out, and assists customers as required while maintaining a safe and professional environment. Performs related duties as assigned in support of Camp Cook operations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be in good physical condition and capable of performing lifeguard duties. All Lifeguard, CPR, and AED certifications/training must be completed prior to hiring. Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations. Ability to work and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. Ability to maintain a safe and professional environment. Must possess a valid Driver's License or State Identification Card. Must comply with all Louisiana Military Department policies, annual training requirements, and drug testing requirements.
