NoProvide safe swimming environment by enforcing rules and policies and responding to aquatic emergencies.

Essential Duties

  • Perform water rescues to include back boarding, passive and active rescues.
  • Perform CPR Ventilations and First Aid (to include inline stabilization, apply ice and bandages).
  • Enforce rules and regulations designed for safe use of the Aquatic Center.
  • Perform Blood Borne Pathogen clean up.
  • Complete accident and incident reports.
  • Provide safe swimming environment by enforcing rules, policies and responding to aquatic emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certified in American Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED and First Aid or equivalent.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to make good decisions in emergency situations
  • Knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques and first aid

Working Conditions

Physical effort requires proficient swimming ability and the ability to properly extract victims from the pool to the deck. Frequent sitting, standing, kneeling and stooping.
