The Carmel program has a total of 6 male individuals residing here. Their ages range from 32 to 70. Five individuals are high functioning but also need verbal prompting and one individual is wheelchair bound who has some independency but still relies on staff to help him out. Our Carmel individuals are full of different personalities which fused together work perfectly! Some of the individuals have mild autism, sleep apnea, seizure disorder, OCD, ADHD and the list could go on. Some of the tasks that staff help the individuals with consist of cooking meals, helping to change their sheets and make their beds, dividing their clean laundry for them to pack away, shaving the individuals, showering and dressing the individual in the wheelchair, as well as cleaning the house. The individuals really enjoy watching movies, going on outings whether it be to a restaurant or the mall, arts and crafts and playing videos. Our house is located in a really beautiful part of Putnam County so we love to help our individuals enjoy the outdoors. We have two beautiful patios. One is located at the front of the house where you can see the beautiful river located across the road as well as a back patio where during the summer time, the individuals love to sit outside and have dinner. We also have a vegetable garden during the summer in which our individuals love tending to during the spring and summer months.
