📋 Tasks and responsibilities

As Product Journey Manager for Life Protection, you help shape and grow life insurance solutions in Belgium. You translate product roadmaps and existing offerings into compelling commercial storylines that support sales through both branch networks and digital channels. In this dynamic environment, you contribute to initiatives with visible market impact.

In this role, you act as a key point of reference for Life Protection insurances, including mortgage insurance, standalone death insurance and death insurance linked to loans.

• Identify, assess and implement new business development opportunities within the Belgian life insurance market.
• Develop and roll out go-to-market approaches for new digital life insurance solutions, based on market developments and customer insights.
• Create commercial storylines aligned with customer needs and distribution objectives.
• Stay close to the distribution network to understand partner expectations and translate them into concrete actions.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery from concept to market launch.
• Prepare business cases and concepts for management validation.
• Take ownership of the full commercial product delivery process, turning new and existing initiatives into tangible outputs such as training materials, sales scripts and communications.
• Work closely with go-to-market teams and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders, including product, finance, legal, risk, compliance, project delivery, marketing and sales.
• Contribute in a digital-first environment and support the development of Life Protection products with a strong focus on digital transformation.
• Embrace new technologies and evolving market practices to improve customer journeys and business outcomes.

📝 Your profile

• You have hands-on experience in product management or in a related domain such as sales, operations, project management, marketing or business analysis.
• You have at least three years of relevant experience.
• You have strong knowledge of Life Protection insurances, such as mortgage insurance, standalone death insurance and death insurance linked to loans.
• You combine a business development mindset with end-to-end project delivery experience.
• You have solid stakeholder management skills and communicate effectively across different seniority levels.
• You have experience with digital transformation and a clear digital-first mindset.
• You are able to explain insurance products in a clear, concise and commercially relevant way.
• You are collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented, and you enjoy challenging the status quo constructively.
• You are flexible and stress-resistant in a fast-changing and complex environment.
• You hold a master's degree or have equivalent experience.
• Experience in a bancassurance and/or digital environment is a plus.
• You communicate well in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
