Life Enrichment Coordinator – Continuing Care Retirement Community

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, active, and supportive environment that promotes well-being, social interaction, and personal growth for our residents.

Full-time position 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and on a weekend rotation once a month

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan, and implement a diverse calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and community engagement
• Assess residents’ needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize resident satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of participation and activity feedback
• Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and positivity within the community

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or a related field, preferably in senior or healthcare settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs
• Knowledge of aging processes and best practices in senior engagement is a plus
• Flexibility to adapt activities to various physical and cognitive abilities
