Licensure & Healthcare Regulatory Director - Hybrid

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Works with and supports both interdepartmental and facility teams companywide to include reviewing and evaluating complex application/forms/requests of all healthcare regulatory licensure and Medicare enrollment documentation for accuracy and M&A and divesture transaction processes.

Works with and supports the Licensure & Healthcare Regulatory team and partners in all aspects of licensing and Medicare enrollment of ASCs, hospitals and practices with various Government Agencies and State Agencies. Processes and monitors applications for ASCs, hospitals, and practices. Communicates with ASC, hospital and practice teams and external Federal, State and Local authorities regarding licensure and healthcare regulatory matters as needed. Also maintains accurate and current files and databases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support maintenance of ASC, hospital, and practice healthcare regulatory licensure processes (state license, pharmacy, CLIA, radiation machine, DEA, etc.) and Medicare enrollments as requested/require.
  • Support renewal processes for ASC, hospital, and practice regulatory licensure (state license, pharmacy, CLIA, radiation machine, DEA, etc.) and Medicare enrollments as requested/required, including but not limited to, review of facility prepared renewal applications.
  • Support problem resolution related to ASC, hospital, and practice healthcare regulatory licensure (state license, pharmacy, CLIA, radiation machine, DEA, etc.) matters and Medicare enrollments as required.
  • Analyze and compile ownership and management disclosure information.
  • Create and maintain ASC, hospital, and practice ownership charts.
  • Support due diligence processes for proposed transactions.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with various healthcare regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate as part of a team by assisting with other healthcare regulatory related duties as needed.
  • Other assigned duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience, in an in-house legal department or law firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in health and/or business preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of computer systems, and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of state, federal and local regulations.
Knowledge of company formation and organization structure.

SKILLS:
Superior analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations.
Skilled in working with Windows based software systems.
Skilled in Intermediate Microsoft Word Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much telephone work. Occasional evening or weekend work.
