What you will do:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists the physicians, providers, and other clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients in the clinic. Responsible for providing support for one or more persons. Frequently interacts with front desk staff. May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean/maintain medical equipment
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Required Skills:
Skill in nursing practices associated with the delivery of quality nursing practices and duties assigned to this role. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy and familiarity with operations of basic office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Athena, Meditech, and/or other electronic health records software, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Current BLS
Required Experience:
Possess the knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care under the direction of the Provider and supervisory staff.
Preferred Experience:
1 year experience in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
