This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with various issues.We currently offer an opportunity for a full time, days LPC to support patients in Cleveland.Joining our team comes with several benefits, including:Free parking for regular status caregiversTuition reimbursementFull benefits and retirementSupport for continuing education, career growth, and professional development What You Will DoProvides psychosocial assessment / intervention to assist patients/families (including clinically complex).Communicates/collaborates with the work team using a multidisciplinary approach.Provides linkage to community resources to facilitate optimal care.Provides age specific care to patients/families in all age groups.Develops and implements a comprehensive plan based on identified psychosocial needs and/or discharge needs.Maintains a current working knowledge of UH network services and promotes utilization of such services.Provides guidance and serves as consultant to staff and other disciplines regarding complex psychosocial and/or discharge planning issues/barriers. Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

EducationMaster's Degree from accredited school of Counseling Required Work ExperienceHospital/Health Agency experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAttainment of LPCC status is encouraged with one year of eligibility. (Required proficiency)Demonstrates ability to interact professionally with physicians, nurses and other members of the healthcare team. (Required proficiency)Demonstrates ability to apply theoretical and clinical knowledge in delivery of care. (Required proficiency)Multi tasks and prioritizes work. (Required proficiency)Performs autonomously as a professional. (Required proficiency)Excellent verbal and written communication. (Required proficiency) Licenses and CertificationsLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (Required)LPCC status within one year of eligibility (Preferred) Position Details/Preferred QualificationsThis outpatient LPC will be seeing adult patients with various mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc. Previous experience working with this patient population is strongly preferred. Must be proficient in performing diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, treatment planning, documentation, etc. Knowledge of Epic is a plus. There is an option to lead a group session if desired (i.e. long-haul Covid, disordered eating, etc.), as well working with adolescent groups. Hours are 9:00am-5:00pm with 1-2 early evenings (until 6/6:30pm) per week.
