The Mental Health Professional in the PACE program will work in a clinical setting, traveling to 18+ sites. He/she will provide assessments within their scope of practice to children/youths referred to the program. The successful applicant will coordinate their work with a team of physicians/APRNs and speech/language pathologists, providing mental health interviews and screenings/assessments, developing recommendations for treatment planning, and making recommendations.
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field plus one (1) year of experience working with pediatrics and adolescents required.
Must be licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Psychological Examiner (LPE) with the Arkansas Board of Psychology.
Two (2) years of experience evaluating children and teens is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provides appropriate screenings/assessments, which may include cognitive/developmental, achievement, and behavioral/emotional screenings/evaluations within the scope of practice and dependent on the age and background information of children and youths referred to the program.
Reports and interprets results.
Staff with team members regarding impressions and recommendations.
Reports to agency staff/caregivers information as appropriate and responds to questions accurately to ensure coordinated care.
Completes documentation in Epic detailing background information, interview information, screening/assessment scores, interpretation, impressions, and recommendations within the required timeframe.
Documents information into other data systems when instructed. Documents billing information in a timely manner if required.
Completes necessary clinic preparation prior to clinic, including requesting records (i.e., school records, mental health records, etc.) and gathering demographic information.
Shares important information with other team members to ensure a quality evaluation.
Completes additional clinical and programmatic requests timely.
Keeps supervisor(s) updated on clinical and programmatic needs.
Provides coverage within the PACE department as needed.
Participates in other activities regarding improving the PACE program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
