
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direct supervision and delegation of a physician and supports providers, residents, medical students, and clinical staff through a team‑based approach to patient care. This role performs clinical tasks within the LPN scope of practice, including patient assessment, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and preparation of patients for evaluation. The LPN provides patient education to help individuals fully understand and benefit from available care services and may work within a designated specialty or cross‑cover multiple clinical areas. Additional responsibilities include maintaining exam room readiness, managing supplies, documenting clinical information, and ensuring patient safety in accordance with emergency clinical policies and protocols. The LPN collaborates closely with the supervisor to ensure timely and high‑quality care delivery.

Work Experience and Additional Information
6 months’ experience in a clinical role in a healthcare facility
Completion of two or more additional pre-approved trainings, certifications, or continuing education courses related to clinical practice in assigned area within 6 months of hire
Demonstration of additional competencies designated within area of hire, such as pediatric responsibilities, Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Care Management, Team Based Care,
EPIC proficiencies, etc. or competencies across multiple specialties, experience with Revenue
Cycle tasks such as surgery scheduling or front desk duties, experience and/or ability to
coordinate schedules and performance management for Clinical Assistant team(s) within 6
months of hire
