Rehabilitation Nursing: Making A Difference in Every Life We Touch…
By the time a patient arrives in the care of a rehabilitation nurse, their life has already been saved. It’s now up to the rehab nurse to restore that life to freedom and independence once again. Rehab nurses are poised to provide this restorative care through expert knowledge and understanding of the holistic, individualized, and complex needs of each patient.
At WSRH, our commitment to excellence is reflected in our Magnet® recognition for nursing excellence and our CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation, which affirm our dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitative care. These prestigious recognitions validate our focus on continuous improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and outcomes-driven care.
Rehabilitation nursing offers a gratifying career for nurses who want to use all their clinical skills, make a visible difference in their patient’s and caregiver’s lives, and work as part of a collaborative healthcare team. As a collaborator, educator, care coordinator, advocate, and change agent, rehabilitation nurses work as an integral part of the Interdisciplinary Team that includes physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists to develop comprehensive care plans based on patient diagnosis, goals, and maximum potential.
