Maples Surgical Centre a division of Clearpoint Health Network Inc. We offer various services, including surgeries and consultations, to relieve some of the pressure on the public healthcare system. Maples Surgical Centre, Specialties include Orthopaedics, Gynecology, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Spine, Cosmetics and others as required.

Maples Surgical Centre is currently recruiting experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) – OR.

Minimum Requirements

  • Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).

  • Operating Room certification from an accredited college program– Certificate required
  • Current BCLS certification is required
  • Proven focus to provide excellent patient care, in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary team of care providers, with emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health

Qualifications

  • Current LPN certification in Perioperative/Operating Room nursing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) Standards of Practice.
  • Current BCLS/CPR certification.
  • Operating Room Certificate required and 2 years recent operating room experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated scrubbing competence in all surgical services.
  • Demonstrated good organizational skills and problem solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors.
