Applicants are expected to have availability during the October and November immunization campaign period and
be willing to pick up shifts to support the WRHA Staff Influenza and COVID-19Immunization Program.
Immunization clinics will operate daily from Monday to Sunday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at
various locations throughout the WRHA. Successful applicants are expected to be available to work
shifts during these hours based on operational requirements. It is anticipated that staff will work up
to four (4) shifts per week throughout October & November.

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Occupational Health, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing professional practical nursing services to the WRHA Influenza program for staff immunizations. The LPN will demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the Regional/Shared Health OESH program.
The LPN is responsible to administer influenza vaccines while adhering to all safety and health regulations and safe work practices. LPNs provide, collect, and document information regarding influenza vaccines, and will be required to work at multiple sites dependent on the Influenza vaccine schedule.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
