Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Full-Time

Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek | Tuesday-Friday

Looking for a full-time nursing opportunity with a 4-day workweek? UVA Imaging is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient imaging team in Charlottesville, VA.

This is a great opportunity for an LPN who enjoys direct patient care and wants to work in a fast-paced, collaborative outpatient environment.

• 1 PM – 10:00 PM
• Full-Time

What You'll Do

As an LPN, you will support patients throughout their imaging experience and work closely with our technologists and clinical team. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for imaging procedures
• Conducting patient and MRI safety screenings
• Obtaining and reviewing patient medical histories
• Starting IVs and establishing IV access
• Assisting with patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures
• Helping ensure patients feel safe, comfortable, and informed throughout their visit

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience in a clinical setting.

Education

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

Licensure & Certification

• Current LPN license meeting the requirements of the state in which you practice.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under the direction of an RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to assist in managing medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document patient information accurately and concisely.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills.

Computer Skills

• Basic proficiency with computer applications and healthcare information systems.
• Ability to enter, access, and retrieve patient information and other clinical data electronically.

Work Environment
