As an LPN, you will provide person-centered care, collaborate with RN’s, implement wellness programs, maintain accurate records and promote health and safety practices.

We are currently seeking two (2) Temporary Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at Village at Smith Creek in Kelowna. These evening relief lines offer flexibility, with shifts that may be pre-booked or assigned on short notice, ideal for those who value variety in their schedule.

About The Role

Join our compassionate team of Licensed Practical Nurses at Baptist Housing’s beautiful Kelowna communities. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering person-centred care, working with a dedicated team to improve the quality of life for our residents. As an LPN, you’ll:

• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, holistic care
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and contribute to individualized care planning
• Support residents with complex care needs in a long-term care environment
• Promote wellness through programs that enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic systems such as PointClickCare and eMAR
• Uphold health and safety standards and infection prevention protocols
• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to Baptist Housing’s values

Shift Details:

• 2 Evening shifts: 14:30 – 22:30
• Relief line: may be pre-booked or assigned day-of
• Must be available to work across different communities as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized school of nursing.
• Current registration in good standing with BCCNM.
• Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma or Registered Nurse designation.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Availability to work consistent shifts over the weekend.

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage range: $32.84 – $41.35 per hour (as per BC Nurses Collective Agreement)
• Eligible for casual benefits
• Temporary relief line (0.734 FTE)
• Qualifying period of three (3) months applies
