We are seeking a Licensed Optician or ABO-Certified Optician to support the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing optical services to veteran patients.
The Optician will assist with eyewear dispensing, measurements, adjustments, and patient education in a clinical setting.
Fit and dispense prescription eyewear
Measure pupillary distance and segment height
Assist patients with frame selection
Verify prescription specifications
Perform minor eyeglass repairs and adjustments
Document patient care in VA electronic health records
Maintain compliance with VA and HIPAA regulations
State Licensed Optician or ABO Certification
Experience in optical dispensing
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a healthcare environment
Ability to obtain VA background clearance
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
