
Job Profile Summary
The Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides evidence-based outpatient behavioral health services to individuals and families within the health system, functioning as an independently licensed provider in ambulatory or other designated settings. The role delivers direct clinical care while ensuring accurate documentation and professional billing, collaborating with interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health teams within integrated care models. Services are provided in compliance with professional standards, regulatory and payer requirements, and organizational policies, supporting continuity of care, patient-centered outcomes, and the health system’s quality, access, and sustainability goals.

Predominantly responsible for care coordination needs of incoming clients, including diagnosing, consultation, providing evidence-based mental health interventions, and managing crisis situations for individual clients and groups in an outpatient team-based setting. The role delivers direct clinical care while ensuring accurate documentation and professional billing, collaborating with interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health teams within integrated care models.
