Hey, Clarksville Therapists — Ellie Wants to Meet You!

We’re Looking for a Therapist Who Is… Actually a Person.

You know the therapist stereotype: serious face, giant notebook, perfectly organized bookshelf.

Yeah…that’s not really our thing. 😉

At Ellie Mental Health, we believe you can be an excellent clinician and have a personality. We’re growing in Clarksville, TN, and we’re looking for a therapist or psychologist who loves helping people, thinks creatively, and wants a workplace where Monday doesn’t feel like a punishment.

What Is Ellie?

Ellie Mental Health is a growing, multi-clinic organization on a mission to make mental health care more accessible, reduce stigma, and close gaps in care.

We also believe therapists do their best work when they aren’t buried in unnecessary administrative tasks.

Our philosophy?

Less busywork. More therapy. More support. More joy.

🎯 The Therapist We’re Looking For

You’re probably a great fit if you’re:

  • Authentic, compassionate, curious, and creative
  • Team-oriented and comfortable thinking outside the therapy box
  • Able to laugh occasionally—even during staff meetings 😉
  • Passionate about helping clients make meaningful progress

We’re especially interested in clinicians with EMDR or Brainspotting experience and a passion for trauma-informed care. Experience with children, teens, adults, couples, and/or families is welcome.

🧰 What You’ll Do

Depending on your specialty and caseload, you’ll:

  • Conduct mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality therapy
  • Use creative interventions to help clients reach their goals
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with families, schools, community resources, and other providers
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians through consultation and team discussions
  • Attend clinical meetings and ongoing training
  • Maintain a minimum of 27 sessions per week for full-time positions

What You’ll Need

  • Tennessee licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD
  • Temporary license holders may also be considered
  • Experience with children, teens, adults, couples, and/or families
  • Comfort with clinical documentation and insurance billing
  • Familiarity with community resources
  • Trauma, substance use, or school-based therapy experience preferred
  • Credentialed or able to become credentialed with insurance panels

🎁 The Ellie Extras

We want you to have a career—not a job that takes over your life.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Flexible scheduling & hybrid work options
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Paid time off, sick time, holidays, and your birthday 🎂
  • Paid CEU time and access to Ellie’s CEU learning system
  • Paid administrative time
  • Clinical support, consultation, and supervision
  • Licensure supervision opportunities for LCSW, LPC-MHSP, and LMFT clinicians*
  • Freedom to develop clinical interests and specialty programs
  • Team-building, Ellie swag, and genuine support

*Supervision availability may vary.

Bring Your Specialty. Bring Your Ideas. Bring Yourself.

Maybe you’re the EMDR expert. Maybe you love working with teens. Maybe you’ve been dreaming about creating a specialty program.

Bring it.

Ellie gives clinicians room to develop their interests, share ideas, and build a practice they’re proud of.

If you’re looking for a place where clinical excellence and a little fun can coexist, Clarksville Ellie might be your next home. 💜

Seeking creative & collaborative humans with a passion for changing mental health care in fun and meaningful ways.

Don’t meet EVERY requirement?

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Ellie Mental Health is devoted to purposefully building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all of our humans can be their authentic selves! (Authenticity is one of our core values, after all…) If you’re excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your past experience doesn’t perfectly align with every single qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. And who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role!

Employee Experience

We take care of our people. It’s that simple. From investing in their financial future, to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care! No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that they can thrive too!

Y’all, jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too! Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers.

We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!

Company Structure

Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community’s needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.”

Feeling blah doesn’t help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time! So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health.

In short, we’re just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?
