Compensation: $44.00/hr

Job Overview

As a Licensed Electrician you will provide technical leadership for electrical maintenance activities while helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues, support the development of team members, and partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

What You Will Do

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, controls, automation, and related systems to support safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Lead complex electrical repairs, equipment upgrades, installation projects, and major maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and prioritize electrical maintenance work while providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to electricians and maintenance team members.
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical equipment, motor controls, automation systems, and related components.
  • Review electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures, implement corrective actions, partner with operations, engineering, vendors, and leadership teams, and verify maintenance documentation using computerized maintenance systems.
  • Perform job duties in a fast-paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issues independently.
  • Ability to create, install, and troubleshoot wiring layouts and circuit routing and use testing, calibration, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret advanced electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and industrial automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor or support less experienced maintenance team members.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Electrical certification, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman credential.
  • Experience leading maintenance projects.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or SAP.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
